Privacy notice
Updated October 2026
What we collect
- From your sign-in: your name, email and an account identifier.
- What you add: your profile (title, company, LinkedIn, bio), RSVPs, chat posts, questions, votes and reports.
- Room activity: when you're in a live room (to show who is here), and basic security logs.
How we use it
- To run GovChat: show your posts and profile to others in rooms you join, send reminders you asked for, and keep the community safe.
- We don't sell your information, and GovChat shows no ads.
Who can see what
- Your name, title and company appear next to your posts. Your email is visible only to the GovChat team, and to a room's hosts only when you're a co-host.
- Reports are confidential; the person reported doesn't see who reported them.
Where it's kept
In Microsoft Azure in the United States, separate from GovBook company data.
Your choices
- Turn reminder emails off in your profile. Delete your own posts at any time.
- To close your account or get a copy of your data, email support@govbook.us.
